Another day, another housesit … this one just around the corner from my parents’ house. The leaves are slowly changing to red, gold, and orange, and it’s finally getting cooler. Best of all … we’re doing some serious travel planning around here — stay tuned!
Our favorite finds from around the web:
- Travel and Fear: The World Is Not Safe, But You Should Travel It Anyway. As we’re beginning to plan more international travel — and as things get crazier and crazier here in the United States — travel safety is more and more on my mind. (That’s especially true as our travel involves more airplanes and fewer remote campsites.) The world can be scary, but it’s also beautiful, and I never want to let fear keep me from seeing it.
- Book Lovers: Add This 100-year-old Theater to Your Bucket List. Bibliophiles, put Argentina on your must-visit list, because this place looks amazing.
- From Sex Object to Gritty Woman: The Evolution of Women in Stock Photos. “In 2007, the top-selling image for the search term “woman” in Getty Image’s library of stock photography was a naked woman lying on a bed, gazing at the camera with a towel draped over her bottom half. In 2017, it’s a woman hiking a rocky trail in Banff National Park, alone on the edge of a cliff high above a turquoise lake.” YES.

Favorite Instagram (throwback!):
Tuesday was Ryan’s birthday and we celebrated with rock climbing at High Point Climbing in Chattanooga! 🎂 Their facility is awesome — the exterior of the building even had several outdoor climbing walls with great views of the city 🌃 (which you can enjoy if you aren’t gripping the wall for dear life like I was! 😮). It was such a fun way to spend the evening and we’d highly recommend you check it out if you’re in Chattanooga 💕
Ryan’s birthday was this week, so we were remembering how much fun we had on his birthday last year, rock climbing in Chattanooga! Definitely a fun highlight of our trip through Appalachia last fall. (Follow us on Instagram @ourstreamlinedlife!)
